RHS 23, Jenison 22

The Rams won another close game against the Wildcats of Jenison. The Ram D came up strong in the 2nd half only allowing 6 point the entire half. Jenison led at the half 16-10.

The Rams fell behind early after Jenison scored first on a 90 yd. touchdown drive. The first score for the Rams came on a 23 yard field goal by Eric Ledbetter. At one point in the 1st half, Jenison led 16-3. Then Rams second score came on a 40+ yard run by Nick Ritzema. Jenison scored two touchdowns in the first half and completed two 2-pt conversions.

In the 2nd half, Rockford rushed the ball the entire drive down the field and pounded it in the endzone on a 2 yd quarterback keeper by Steve Fusee. Rockford led 17-16. Jenison answered back taking the lead 22-17. The Rams scored their final touchdown on a short, tough rush by Drew Powell. That touchdown gave the Rams their 23-22 lead. Jenison had 2 minutes left in the game and they were driving down the field. The Ram D came up big with some big sacks and some big plays in the secondary to force Jenison to turn the ball over on downs.
