Trevino threw for 242 yards
and ran for 146 more as Hudsonville used a 21-point rally in
the second quarter to bounce back from consecutive losses to
Jenison and East Kentwood.
Chris Vander Molen (10 yards),
Nate Woodwyk (18 yards), Brandon Bosch (22 and 1 yard) caught
touchdown passes from Trevino. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Trevino
also ran 10 yards for a TD and sophomore Codey Weiss closed
the scoring with a 14-yard run.
Hudsonville finished with 179
yards rushing. Tight end Jesse Reimink had four receptions
for 47 yards.
Spencer Klukowski threw touchdown
passes to Devin Brooks (26 yards) and Bryan Anderson (47 yards)
for Rockford. Steve Kik had TD runs of 41- and 1-yard and Brad
VanderVeen added a 23-yarder.
VanderVeen led Rockford with
106 yards on 11 carries. Klukowski completed 20 of 29 passes
for 273 yards, with Anderson catching three for 101 yards.
Hudsonville returns home next
Friday to host Forest Hills Northern. Rockford travels to Grand
Haven.
